SSL-Explorer: Enterprise Edition

Introducing SSL-Explorer: Converse from 3SP Ltd - a Secure IM solution for your enterprise.

Many organizations today lock down firewalls to prevent access to instant messaging traffic for a very good reason. The risk of 'information leakage', exposure to viruses and other external threats is something that is hard to detect and difficult to quantify. The safest option is usually to ban all IM traffic to ensure nothing can leave the organization in this manner. Unfortunately since instant messaging has become such a useful tool for sharing information and keeping colleagues in the loop; banning its usage could have a detrimental effect on communication within your business.

Converse is an enhancement for the SSL-Explorer® SSL VPN server that addresses these data security issues. The product combines a fully secure and encrypted IM server with a browser-deployed IM client. Since your IM server is now hosted in-house, no IM traffic need ever leave the organization and Converse lets you fulfil your compliance requirements by providing full audited access to conversation logs and other events.

The Converse IM server can be installed and configured in minutes via the Extension Manager within SSL-Explorer. Access to instant messaging resources can be easily granted to your users by assigning privileges by the existing SSL-Explorer access control infrastructure. For users who require access to partners or consultants using third-party networks, Converse also integrates with public IM networks such as Yahoo, MSN, AOL and others.
